Pussy Gold 5000 is an EP by the American noise rock band Pussy Galore, released in January 1987 on Shove Records. It was recorded on September 10, 1986, at Fun City studio in New York City and runs for a total length of 13 minutes and 31 seconds.
Background
The EP was released following the band's relocation from Washington, D.C., to New York City and the expansion of their lineup to include guitarist Cristina Martinez (then aged 16, later of Boss Hog) and former Sonic Youth drummer Bob Bert. The recording was engineered by Wharton Tiers, known for his work with Unsane, Quicksand, and Helmet.

Release History
The EP was originally released in 1987 on 12-inch vinyl by Shove Records (catalog SHOV 4) and Buy Our Records (catalog BOR-12-010). It was reissued in 2014 as a limited edition for Record Store Day. The cover art uses a similar band photo style to the US release of Out of Our Heads (1965) by the Rolling Stones.
