Prycanowo [prɨt͡saˈnɔvɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Różan, within Maków County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It is located approximately 3 kilometres (2 miles) north of Różan, 20 km (12 mi) east of Maków Mazowiecki, and 80 km (50 mi) north of Warsaw.
Geography and Administration
Prycanowo lies in the Masovian Voivodeship, one of Poland's 16 administrative regions. The village is part of the Gmina Różan, a rural municipality that governs several villages in the area. Its geographic coordinates are 52°53′44″N 21°21′47″E.
History
From 1 April 1939 to 30 December 1959, Prycanowo was administratively incorporated within the town limits of Różan. It was subsequently re-established as a separate village.
Demographics
Prycanowo is a small village. As a sołectwo (a Polish administrative subdivision of a gmina), it has its own village council. Detailed population statistics are maintained by Poland's Central Statistical Office (Główny Urząd Statystyczny).
