Privredna banka Sarajevo (PBS) is a joint‑stock commercial bank headquartered in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is one of the oldest banking institutions operating in the country and is listed on the Sarajevo Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol BORBRK3.

History

  • 1913 – The building that now houses the bank’s headquarters was inaugurated as the Sarajevo branch of the Austro‑Hungarian Bank.
  • 1962 – On 1 January 1962 the institution commenced operations under the name Privredna banka Sarajevo in the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  • 2008 – The bank was renamed Bor Banka Sarajevo.
  • 2016 – A merger between Privredna banka Sarajevo d.d. Sarajevo and BOR bank d.d. Sarajevo created the present‑day Privredna banka Sarajevo, consolidating assets, branches, and operations under a single brand.
