Pretty Smart is an American sitcom television series created by Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand. It premiered on Netflix on October 8, 2021.
The series centers around Chelsea (Emily Osment), a Harvard-educated, intellectual aspiring novelist who is forced to move in with her carefree sister Claire (Olivia Macklin) and Claire's three unconventional roommates after a personal setback. The roommates consist of Grant (Gregg Sulkin), a personal trainer whom Chelsea quickly develops feelings for; Solana (Cinthya Carmona), a spiritual healer; and Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen), a social media influencer.
The show follows Chelsea as she navigates the often-chaotic and unpredictable world of her sister and her roommates, learning to embrace spontaneity and different perspectives on life and love. Simultaneously, the series explores themes of found family, self-discovery, and the challenges of adapting to unexpected life changes.
The series was initially well-received for its lighthearted humor and the performances of its cast. However, Netflix cancelled Pretty Smart after one season in April 2022.
