G. Prajesh Sen (also spelt G. Prajeshsen; born 29 May 1979, Kilimanoor, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India) is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, author, and former journalist working primarily in Malayalam-language cinema.
Career
Sen began his professional life as a journalist, working at All India Radio Trivandrum and later for the Malayalam daily Madhyamam. He transitioned into film as an assistant director to Siddique. His directorial debut came in 2017 with Captain (released 2018), a sports biopic about Indian football captain V. P. Sathyan, starring Jayasurya.
He authored the biography Ormakalude Bhramanapadham based on former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, and also directed the documentary Nambi The Scientist. Sen worked as a co-director on the feature film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022), starring R. Madhavan. His second directorial feature, Vellam (2021), also starring Jayasurya, was the first Malayalam film released in theatres after the COVID-19 lockdown; Jayasurya won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance.
Sen has also worked internationally, serving as an associate producer on the Dutch documentary The Road to Moscow (2019), directed by Jacco Groen, about Indian children selected for the Street Child World Cup.
His other directorial works include Meri Awas Suno (2022), an official remake of the Bengali film Konttho, and The Secret of Women (2025). He is also associated with the Different Art Centre (DAC) founded by magician Prof. Gopinath Muthukad, which focuses on the development of disabled children.
Personal Life
Sen was born to Gopi N. and T. K. Lathika. He married Sabeena S. K. in 2013, and the couple has a son named Alan P. Sen.

Sen has received numerous journalism awards including the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism (2013) and awards from the Kerala Press Academy. His film awards include the Kerala Film Critics Association Award for Best Second Director (Vellam, 2021), the Prem Nazir Award for Best Direction (Vellam, 2022), and a Special Mention at the Kerala State Television Awards for Nambi the Scientist (2019).
