PrISUm is a solar car team at Iowa State University. Founded in 1989, the team designs, builds, and races solar-powered vehicles in national and international competitions. PrISUm is a student-run organization encompassing a wide range of engineering and non-engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, software, business, and marketing. The primary objective of PrISUm is to provide students with hands-on experience in renewable energy technologies and project management. Through its participation in solar car races, PrISUm aims to promote sustainable transportation and inspire innovation in the field of solar energy.
