Popular Union (Spanish: Unión Popular) was a political party in Peru. It was founded ahead of the 1931 Constituent Assembly election. The Popular Union was the first social-Christian party in the country and is considered the precursor of the Christian Democrat Party in Peru.
The party was led by Jorge Suárez Giulf. It emerged in the early 1930s as a social-Christian political force, distinct from the more secular liberal and Marxist parties active in Peru at the time. As the first organized expression of Christian democracy in the country, it laid the ideological groundwork for later Christian democratic movements in Peruvian politics.
