Ponta Jalunga is a headland (promontory) located nearly one kilometre northeast of the port of Furna on the island of Brava in southwestern Cape Verde. It is the northeasternmost point of the island.
The promontory is a rocky area reaching up to 120 metres in height. The headland was historically recorded as Pt. Ghelongo on a 1747 map by French cartographer Jacques-Nicolas Bellin. The land area of the headland covers approximately 100 hectares, with a length of about 1 km and a width of 600–700 metres.
Ponta Jalunga Lighthouse
A lighthouse at Ponta Jalunga was constructed in 1891. It is a white masonry tower standing 8 metres tall, with a focal height of 26 metres above sea level. Its light has a range of 5 nautical miles (9.3 km; 5.8 mi) and is powered by solar energy.

Note: There is also a separate location named Ponta Jalunga on the island of Sal, Cape Verde, which is a point (a tapering piece of land projecting into water, less prominent than a cape) situated near the town of Santa Maria.
