Pim Walsma (born 3 February 1987 in Amsterdam, Netherlands) is a Dutch former professional baseball pitcher. He played in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse (the highest level of baseball in the Netherlands) for the Amsterdam Pirates (2005–2010, 2016) and Corendon Kinheim (2011–2015), and represented the Netherlands national baseball team.
Early career and college Walsma pitched for Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington, United States in 2007, where he posted a 2–3 record with a 3.27 ERA.
Professional career in the Hoofdklasse Walsma debuted in the Honkbal Hoofdklasse with Amsterdam in 2005, going 1–6 with a 5.11 ERA and 38 walks in 44 innings, finishing fifth in the league in walks. In 2006, he went 1–6 with a 6.75 ERA and 40 walks in 37⅓ innings, finishing sixth in walks. He participated in the Major League Baseball European Academy that summer.
In 2007, Walsma was 1–2 with one save and a 7.62 ERA for Amsterdam. In 2008, he improved to 1–4 with 5 saves and a 4.22 ERA, striking out 48 in 42⅔ innings. He played for Kinheim from 2011 to 2015 before returning to Amsterdam for his final season in 2016. Over his entire Hoofdklasse career (2005–2016), he appeared in 201 games with a record of 15–18, a 3.39 ERA, and 26 saves over 302⅔ innings pitched.
International career Walsma was added to the Dutch national team for the 2008 Haarlem Baseball Week, allowing one run in 6⅔ innings. Manager Robert Eenhoorn selected him for the Netherlands team at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. At the Olympics, Walsma allowed 6 runs in 4 innings pitched.
In the 2009 World Baseball Classic, Walsma started against Puerto Rico, allowing 1 run in two innings and taking the loss.
Post-baseball career As of available records, Walsma has worked as Finance Director at Universal Music Netherlands.
