Pierre Morice

Career

Morice began his professional career with his hometown club, Stade Rennais in 1952. He quickly established himself as a key player in the midfield, known for his work rate, passing ability, and occasional goal-scoring. During his seven seasons with Rennes (1952-1959), he made over 200 appearances in Division 1, scoring 25 goals. A significant achievement during his tenure was reaching the Coupe de France final in 1957, where Rennes ultimately lost to Toulouse FC.

After leaving Stade Rennais, Morice played for several other French clubs:

  • Angers SCO (1959–1962)
  • FC Nantes (1962–1963)
  • Limoges FC (1963–1964)

He later had a player-coach role with US Avranches towards the end of his career.

International Career

Morice earned one cap for the France national team in 1958. He made his debut on 11 November 1958 in a friendly match against Greece.

Legacy

Pierre Morice is remembered as a dedicated and influential midfielder for the clubs he represented, particularly Stade Rennais during the 1950s.
