Phyllis Katsakiores

Phyllis M. Katsakiores (1934–2024) was an American politician who served as a longtime member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, she represented the town of Derry in Rockingham County for approximately four decades.

First elected to the state legislature in 1982, Katsakiores became one of the longest-serving lawmakers in the history of the New Hampshire General Court. Throughout her tenure, she served on several legislative committees, most notably the House Health, Human Services and Elderly Affairs Committee. Her work within the legislature often focused on healthcare policy, senior services, and local community issues.

In addition to her legislative duties, Katsakiores was active in local Derry politics and community organizations. She was frequently cited as a senior figure within the Republican caucus due to her length of service and institutional knowledge of the New Hampshire state government.

Katsakiores remained an active member of the House of Representatives until her death in May 2024 at the age of 89. At the time of her passing, she was recognized by state officials for her extensive career in public service and her commitment to her constituents.
