The Philadelphia Bulldogs were a professional American football team that played in the Continental Football League (CoFL) from 1965 to 1966. The team was owned by Harry Rosenfeld and played their home games at Temple Stadium.
In 1965, their inaugural season, the Bulldogs finished with a record of 8-6, placing second in the Eastern Division of the CoFL. They did not qualify for the playoffs.
In 1966, the Bulldogs improved their record to 9-5, again finishing second in the Eastern Division. However, the team was more competitive and played well. Despite this improvement, they still did not make the playoffs.
Following the 1966 season, the Philadelphia Bulldogs ceased operations. The Continental Football League itself folded in 1969. The Bulldogs are not affiliated with any subsequent football teams using a similar name in the Philadelphia area.
