Pete Robinson (drag racer)

Pete Robinson was a prominent American drag racer during the 1960s and early 1970s. He was best known for his successes in Top Fuel dragsters, often running innovative and unconventional setups. Robinson was considered a skilled driver and tuner, pushing the boundaries of what was then possible in the sport. He achieved multiple national event wins and set several national records. Tragically, Pete Robinson died in a racing accident in 1971 at Pomona Raceway, during the final round of the Winternationals. His death was a significant loss to the drag racing community and cemented his legacy as one of the sport's innovative pioneers.
