Percy Hooper (active primarily in the 1930s) was a British tennis player who achieved recognition for his participation in major tournaments, including the Wimbledon Championships, and for representing Great Britain in the Davis Cup.
Hooper was a notable figure in British tennis during the inter-war period. He made several appearances at the Wimbledon Championships, competing in both singles and doubles events. His most significant achievement at Wimbledon came in 1937 when he reached the quarterfinals of the men's doubles, partnering with Colin Ritchie. In singles, he advanced to the third round in 1936.
In 1937, Hooper was selected to represent Great Britain in the Davis Cup. He played in the Europe Zone semi-final against Czechoslovakia, participating in one singles rubber (losing to Roderich Menzel) and one doubles rubber (partnering with Frank Wilde, also a loss). His selection for the national team highlighted his standing as one of the leading British players of his era. Throughout his career, Hooper also competed in various other domestic and international tournaments.
