Pentagon is the debut extended play (EP) by the South Korean boy band Pentagon. It was released on October 10, 2016, by Cube Entertainment and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. The album consists of seven tracks, including the title track "Gorilla," which served as the group's debut single and music video.
Background and release
The EP marked Pentagon's official debut following the group's formation through the Mnet survival show Pentagon Maker. The album was released in both physical and digital formats, with the physical edition packaged in a square black box featuring the group's logo in gold on the front cover.

The title track "Gorilla" showcased the group's energetic hip-hop and electronic musical influences, establishing Pentagon's early musical identity within the K-pop genre. The album is generally regarded as the starting point of Pentagon's discography, which would later expand to include numerous additional EPs and studio albums.
