Pedro Morilla Pineda (born 31 October 1972 in Seville, Spain) is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who played predominantly as a midfielder.
Playing Career
Morilla began in the youth ranks of Real Betis Balompié and later played for Sevilla's under-19 team. As a professional, he played for CD Mairena (Tercera División), Écija (Segunda División A and B), Talavera CF (where he spent four seasons and played in two promotion play-offs to Segunda A), Real Murcia, Burgos CF, and Dos Hermanas. He returned to Talavera for three more seasons in Segunda División B and concluded his playing career at CD Ciempozuelos in Tercera División.
Coaching Career
Morilla began coaching at CD Ciempozuelos, taking over the first team in January 2007. He later managed Talavera CF (2008), CD Móstoles, and then joined the Real Betis youth structure, coaching the Juvenil A team and briefly managing Betis B in 2014–2015. He moved to Granada CF's B team in 2016–2017 and briefly managed Granada's first team in 2018 after the dismissal of José Luis Oltra, though he was dismissed after only six matches.
In 2019, he moved to China as sporting director of Wuhan Three Towns. He became head coach in July 2021, leading the club to promotion to the Chinese Super League with 16 wins in 18 matches. In 2022, he won the Chinese Super League title, and in 2023, the Chinese Super Cup. He was dismissed from Wuhan Three Towns on 18 June 2023.
On 17 June 2025, he was appointed manager of Recreativo de Huelva, but was relieved of his duties on 24 November 2025 after a run of poor results.
