Pavel Sofin (born 4 September 1981) is a Russian shot putter. His personal best is 20.82 metres, achieved in September 2009 in Thessaloniki. He has 20.68 metres on the indoor track, achieved in March 2006 in Moscow.
Sofin represented Russia in international athletics competitions throughout the 2000s. His career highlight includes winning the bronze medal at the 2006 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Moscow with a throw of 20.68 metres. He also placed third at the 2006 World Cup in Athens with a throw of 20.45 metres.
At the Olympic Games, Sofin competed in 2004 in Athens (30th in qualification) and 2008 in Beijing, where he reached the final and finished 7th with a throw of 20.42 metres. He also competed at multiple World Championships, with his best result being 9th place at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka and the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.
At the European Championships, Sofin placed 4th in Gothenburg in 2006 with a throw of 20.55 metres. Earlier in his career, he won a silver medal at the 2003 European U23 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, with a throw of 20.33 metres.
