Paulo Isidoro de Almeida (born 3 January 1958) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder and forward. He is noted for his technical skills, accurate passing, and ability to score goals from midfield.
Early life and youth career
Isidoro was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He began his football development in the youth system of Clube Atlético Mineiro.
Club career
- Atlético Mineiro (1974–1980): Isidoro made his professional debut with Atlético Mineiro, where he contributed to the team's Campeonato Mineiro titles in 1976, 1978, and 1979.
- Grêmio (loan, 1979): A short loan spell saw him acquire additional top‑flight experience.
- America-RJ (1981): After leaving Atlético Mineiro, Isidoro played for America Football Club in Rio de Janeiro.
- São Paulo FC (1981–1986): He transferred to São Paulo FC, winning the Campeonato Paulista in 1985 and the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 1986. During his tenure, Isidoro made over 100 appearances and scored numerous goals.
