Paul (Pauli) Vihtori Tuorila (21 November 1900 – 10 September 1950) was a Finnish chemist and politician, born in Turku, Finland.
Career as a chemist: Tuorila was an agricultural chemist and held the title of professor. He was active in the scientific community and served as a nominator for the Nobel Prize in Chemistry on multiple occasions, nominating candidates such as Gustaf Komppa, Artturi Virtanen, and Hermann Staudinger between 1944 and 1950.
Political career: He was a member of the Parliament of Finland (Eduskunta) from 1936 to 1939, representing the Patriotic People's Movement (IKL), a right-wing nationalist party. He also served as a presidential elector in the 1937, 1940, and 1943 presidential elections.
Personal: Tuorila was born in Turku and died in Helsinki at the age of 49.
