Paul Rice (cricketer)

Christopher Paul Edgar Rice (22 February 1948 – 16 February 2013) was an English cricketer who played as a left‑handed batsman in English minor counties cricket.

Early life
Rice was born in Exeter, Devon, England.

Domestic career
Rice made his debut for Suffolk in the 1979 Minor Counties Championship against Buckinghamshire. Between 1979 and 1982 he represented Suffolk in 23 Minor Counties Championship matches. He also appeared in List A cricket for Suffolk, making his List A debut in the 1979 Gillette Cup and playing a total of four List A matches—including appearances in the 1981 NatWest Trophy—scoring 62 runs at an average of 15.50, with a highest score of 45. In 1985, Rice played five Minor Counties Championship matches for Norfolk.

Death
Rice died on 16 February 2013 in Halesworth, Suffolk, at the age of 64.
