Paul Fitzgibbon

Paul Fitzgibbon (born 27 March 1978) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He spent the majority of his career in the League of Ireland, most notably with [[Waterford United]], [[Cobh Ramblers]], and [[Limerick FC]].

Career

Fitzgibbon began his professional football career in the late 1990s, establishing himself as a reliable defender in the [[League of Ireland]]. Known for his consistent performances and dedication, he played for several clubs over more than a decade.

He had multiple stints with [[Waterford United]], one of his most prominent clubs. His initial spell with Waterford began in 1998, and he later returned for another period between 2002 and 2004, contributing to their league campaigns.

Fitzgibbon also became a familiar figure at [[Cobh Ramblers]], where he had three separate tenures throughout his career, including seasons in 2001-2002, 2005-2006, and again from 2007 to 2008.

In between his time at Cobh and Waterford, he also played for [[Limerick FC]] during the 2006-2007 season, further solidifying his reputation within the Irish domestic game. His longevity and commitment made him a respected player in the League of Ireland.
