Park Heung-sik (Korean: 박흥식, born 1965) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. He is known for his character-driven dramas exploring complex relationships and social issues.
Park debuted as a director with the film The Rainy Season in 1998. His notable works include The Aggressives (2005), a sports drama focusing on the Korean version of rollerblading; Bravo, My Life! (2007), which explores the challenges faced by a single mother; Children of Heaven (2009), a heartwarming story about children in a rural community; and Memories of the Sword (2015), a period martial arts drama starring Lee Byung-hun and Jeon Do-yeon.
His films have been screened at various international film festivals and have garnered critical acclaim for their sensitive portrayals of human emotions and insightful social commentary.
