Paradiso (Turin Metro)

Paradiso is an underground station serving Line 1 of the Turin Metro (Metropolitana di Torino) in Italy. It is located in the municipality of Collegno, situated near the western border of the city of Turin.

The station was inaugurated on February 4, 2006, as part of the initial segment of the Turin Metro system, which connected the stations of Fermi and XVIII Dicembre. Its opening was timed to provide transportation infrastructure for the 2006 Winter Olympics.

The station is positioned beneath Corso Francia at the intersection with Via Paradiso, from which the station takes its name. As part of the Turin Metro’s Line 1, Paradiso utilizes the VAL (Véhicule Automatique Léger) system, which features automated, driverless trains. To ensure passenger safety, the platforms are equipped with glass screen doors that synchronize with the train doors.

Architecturally, the station follows the design language established for the first phase of the network. It features standard functional elements and integrated decorative panels that are characteristic of the stations along this section of the line. The facility provides accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility through the use of elevators and tactile paving.
