The PBA Mr. Quality Minutes award was an annual award given by the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from the 1993 season to the 2003 season. It recognized the league's best performing player who primarily came off the bench as a substitute, commonly referred to as the "sixth man."
History and Criteria The award was instituted during the 1993 season to honor the contributions of reserve players who provided significant impact—scoring, defense, energy, or leadership—during their playing time ("quality minutes") despite not being in the starting lineup. The recipient was determined by a combination of statistical performance and voting by members of the media and/or the league's statistical department.
Transition to Best Sixth Man Award Following the 2003 season, the award was discontinued and effectively replaced by the PBA Best Sixth Man Award beginning in the 2004–05 season. In 2014, the Best Sixth Man Award was renamed the Bogs Adornado Award in honor of the PBA great and three-time Most Valuable Player.
