Ossai Ifeanyi Nwabuonwu

Ossai Ifeanyi Nwabuonwu (born 16 December 1992) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, diplomat, and philanthropist. He is the co‑founder and chief executive officer of CribMD, a telemedicine and health‑technology platform, and the founder of Indigeneex, a sustainable‑construction venture. He has also served as an ambassador of the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) and is a member of the Bretton Woods Committee.

Early life and education

Ossai was born into a royal family in Delta State, Nigeria. He spent part of his childhood in London before returning to Nigeria. He studied engineering and later earned a Master of Business Administration from Avila University in the United States. He also completed a Corporate Director Certificate in Business Administration and Management from Harvard University and participated in the Africa Management Institute’s Business Growth Program in collaboration with Stanford Seed at Stanford University.

Career

CribMD

In 2020, Ossai co‑founded CribMD, a telemedicine platform that provides 24/7 virtual consultations and home‑health services across Nigeria. Within its first six months, the service attracted more than 9 000 subscribers and secured approximately US $2.5 million in seed funding from investors including Norrsken VC, Sputnik VC, the Guardian Media Group, and Google. CribMD’s model focuses on expanding primary‑care access for underserved and rural populations.

Indigeneex

Ossai founded Indigeneex, a green‑building company that develops sustainable construction projects in Nigeria. The firm has partnered with major corporations to promote energy‑efficient building practices and contribute to the country’s infrastructural development.

Diplomatic and advisory roles

In 2022, he was appointed an ambassador of the Institute for Economics and Peace, a think‑tank that publishes the Global Peace Index. He has represented Nigeria at international forums such as the United Nations General Assembly, the World Bank’s Spring Meetings, and the Building Bridges Summit in Geneva. In 2024, he was inducted as a member of the Bretton Woods Committee, an advisory group supporting the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
