Club career
Ramsay began playing organised football at age five for youth teams at Western Springs before joining Joga Bonita and the Wynrs Wynton Rufer Academy. He subsequently played for Central United and the youth team at Auckland City before moving to the United States.
In 2016, Ramsay enrolled at Hofstra University and joined the Hofstra Pride soccer team. Over four seasons, he played 73 matches and scored six goals. During his college years, he also played for GPS Portland Phoenix (2017), Reading United (2018), and Lionsbridge (2019) in the USL League Two.
After leaving Hofstra, Ramsay signed with USL Championship side Charlotte Independence. He made his professional debut on 23 August 2020 against Miami, coming on as an 84th-minute substitute in a 2–1 defeat.
