Oedina

Oedina is a genus of moths belonging to the family Erebidae, specifically within the subfamily Arctiinae. Moths in this subfamily are commonly known as tiger moths or woolly bears. The genus Oedina was first described by Charles Swinhoe in 1904.

Members of the genus Oedina are typically found in the Afrotropical realm, encompassing parts of Africa and surrounding regions. Like many genera within the Erebidae family, Oedina contains a number of distinct species, though detailed information on the biology and life cycles of individual species within the genus may be limited. Their classification reflects their evolutionary relationship to other groups of moths within the vast and diverse Erebidae family.
