Nurkot Railway Station (Urdu: نورکوٹ ریلوے اسٹیشن, Punjabi: نورکوٹ ریلوے اسٹیشن) is a railway station located in Nurkot village, Narowal District, Punjab province, Pakistan. It is situated on the Shahdara Bagh–Chak Amru Branch Line and is operated by Pakistan Railways.
Location and coordinates
The station is located at coordinates 32°11′53″N 75°06′07″E, approximately 10 km southwest of Shakargarh city and about 35 km southeast of Narowal city. The surrounding area is predominantly agricultural, situated in the Ravi River basin.

The station code is NRKT. It is owned by the Ministry of Railways. The preceding station on the line is Boston Afghanan (toward Shahdara Bagh Junction), and the following station is Shakargarh (toward Chak Amru).
History
The station was established as part of the Shahdara–Narowal Railway, a branch line constructed and opened in 1926 by the North Western State Railway during the British colonial period. In 1927, the line was extended from Jassar to Chak Amru, integrating Nurkot into the broader Shahdara Bagh–Chak Amru Branch Line. Following the partition of India in 1947, the line's operations were disrupted as the international border severed connections to Amritsar and Pathankot.
Current status
The Narowal–Chak Amru section of the branch line, which includes Nurkot, was closed around 2009 due to low passenger numbers and infrastructure neglect. As a result, the station is currently non-operational and receives no regular passenger train services. Passengers must travel to or from nearby Narowal Junction, approximately 35 km away, for rail connectivity. Pakistan Railways has proposed rehabilitation of the full branch line under various development plans, but as of available records, the station remains closed.
