Notonomus longus is a species of ground beetle in the subfamily Pterostichinae, within the family Carabidae. It was described by the Australian entomologist Thomas G. Sloane in 1913. The species belongs to the genus Notonomus, a group of flightless ground beetles endemic to Australia, which comprises over 120 described species primarily inhabiting moist forest floors and upland rainforests in eastern Australia.
