Description
Nomotettix parvus is a diminutive member of the pygmy grasshoppers (family Tetrigidae). Adults are typically less than 1 cm in total length. The species exhibits the characteristic elongated pronotum that extends over the abdomen, a trait common to tetrigids. Coloration is generally cryptic, ranging from earthy browns to muted greens, facilitating camouflage among grasses and low vegetation.
Distribution
