Nipah Panjang is a coastal district (kecamatan) in East Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province, Indonesia. It is located on the eastern coast of Sumatra, along the Strait of Malacca / South China Sea, and includes the estuary of the Batang Hari River.

Geography and Economy: Nipah Panjang is a coastal area characterized by mangrove forests and traditional stilt villages, reflecting its strong maritime culture. It is situated approximately 120 km northeast of Jambi City and is accessible by road.
Localities: The district includes several villages and sub-districts, among them Pemusiran, as well as the kelurahan (urban villages) of Nipah Panjang I and Nipah Panjang II, Bunga Tanjung, Simpang Datuk, Simpang Jelita, Sungai Jeruk, Sungai Raya, Sungai Tering, and Teluk Kijing.
Etymology: The name "Nipah Panjang" likely derives from the Indonesian/Malay words nipah (a type of palm tree, Nypa fruticans, commonly found in mangrove environments) and panjang (meaning "long"), possibly referring to a long stretch of nipah palm vegetation along the coastline or riverbanks.
