Ningdu County

Ningdu County (Chinese: 宁都县; pinyin: Níngdū Xiàn) is a county located in the southwestern part of Jiangxi Province, People's Republic of China. It falls under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Ganzhou. The county covers an area of approximately 3,100 km² (1,200 sq mi) and, as of the most recent national census, has a population of roughly 700,000 residents.

Geography
Ningdu County is situated on the southern slopes of the Luoxiao Mountains, bordering Guangdong Province to the south. The region features a subtropical humid climate, with four distinct seasons, average annual precipitation of about 1,500 mm, and average temperatures ranging from 6 °C in winter to 28 °C in summer. The county’s topography consists of a mixture of low-lying valleys, hilly terrain, and mountainous areas.
