Nicolás Capaldo

Nicolás Capaldo (born 20 February 1997) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder. He is currently contracted to Italian Serie A club Fiorentina, wearing the number 27 shirt.

Early life and youth career
Capaldo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He joined the youth academy of River Plate, one of the country's most prominent clubs, where he progressed through the various age groups.

Senior club career

• River Plate (2019–2022)
  Capaldo made his professional debut for River Plate in the Argentine Primera División on 30 March 2019. Over three seasons, he accumulated a total of 61 league appearances and scored three goals. He was part of the squad that won the 2019 Copa Argentina.

• Fiorentina (2022–present)
  In July 2022, Capaldo transferred to Serie A side ACF Fiorentina on a permanent deal. He debuted for the Italian club in the 2022–23 season and, as of the end of the 2023–24 campaign, has made 38 league appearances, contributing two goals.

International career
Capaldo has represented Argentina at youth level. He was called up to the Argentina U23 squad for the 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, where he featured in several matches. He has not yet earned a senior cap for the Argentine national team.
