Nicholas McDonald (born November 23, 1996) is a Scottish singer who gained prominence as the runner-up on the tenth series of the British singing competition The X Factor in 2013. He signed with RCA Records after the show and released his debut album, In the Arms of an Angel, in 2014.
Early Life
Nicholas McDonald was born in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. He developed an interest in singing from a young age and began performing locally. Prior to his appearance on The X Factor, he was a student at St Aidan's High School.The X Factor
In 2013, McDonald auditioned for the tenth series of The X Factor. He impressed the judges with his vocal ability and progressed through the competition, mentored by Louis Walsh in the Boys category. Throughout the live shows, he consistently received support from the public and eventually reached the final. He ultimately finished as the runner-up to Sam Bailey.
