Nghi Sơn Refinery is a large-scale oil‑refining complex located in the Nghi Sơn Economic Zone of Thanh Hóa Province, Vietnam. It is designed to process crude oil into a variety of petroleum products for domestic consumption and export.

The name “Nghi Sơn” derives from the local district and the surrounding mountainous area in Thanh Hóa Province. “Nghi” is a Vietnamese place‑name element, while “Sơn” means “mountain” in Vietnamese, reflecting the region’s topography.
