Neil Lowe

Neil Lowe (born 20 December 1978) is a former Scotland international rugby league footballer who played as a second‑row forward. Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, he represented Scotland at the senior level and had a professional club career spanning the 1990s, 2000s and early 2010s.

Lowe began his senior club career with Featherstone Rovers, where he played from 1997 to 2002. He subsequently joined Salford City Reds for the 2003 season before returning to Featherstone Rovers for 2004–05. His later club affiliations included Doncaster (2006–07), York City Knights (2007), Keighley Cougars (2008–09), and Hunslet Hawks (2009–12). Throughout his club career, he was primarily employed as a second‑row forward, a position that emphasizes both defensive work and ball‑carrying ability.

International career
Lowe earned seven caps for the Scotland national rugby league team between 1999 and 2011, scoring one try (four points). He was named in Scotland’s training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup and subsequently selected for the final tournament squad.

Lowe played at second‑row in Featherstone Rovers’ 22–24 defeat to Wakefield Trinity in the 1998 First Division Grand Final held at McAlpine Stadium, Huddersfield, on 26 September 1998.
