Naz Khialvi (1947–2010), born Mohammad Siddique, was a Pakistani poet, lyricist, and radio broadcaster. He is primarily known for his contributions to Urdu and Punjabi literature, specifically within the genres of Sufi poetry and qawwali.
Khialvi gained significant recognition as the lyricist of "Tumhe Dillagi Bhool Jani Paregi," a qawwali that achieved international fame through the performance of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. His work often explored themes of spiritual love, devotion, and classical romanticism.
In addition to his literary career, Khialvi was a prominent figure in Pakistani broadcasting. He hosted the radio program Sandhal Dharti on Radio Pakistan Faisalabad for approximately 27 years. The program was well-regarded for its focus on regional culture and folk heritage.
In 2010, following his death, Khialvi was posthumously awarded the Pride of Performance, one of Pakistan’s highest civilian honors, in recognition of his services to literature and broadcasting.
