Naughty Grandma (Russian: Бабушка лёгкого поведения, romanized: Babushka lyogkogo povedeniya) is a 2017 Russian comedy film directed by Maryus Vaysberg. The film stars Aleksandr Revva and the pop singer Glukoza and was produced by Vice Films. It was released on 17 August 2017 and achieved a domestic box‑office gross of approximately US $5.86 million, making it the only Russian‑produced picture to register a commercial success in the Russian summer market of that year.
Plot
Aleksandr Rubenstein (portrayed by Aleksandr Revva), nicknamed “the Transformer” for his talent in impersonating various people, employs this skill for criminal purposes. After a successful heist, he is forced to evade his pursuers by hiding in his uncle’s nursing home, where he assumes the identity of a grandmother. While posing as the elderly woman, he meets a young woman named Lyuba (Glukoza) and falls in love. Complications arise when a grandfather residing in the nursing home also becomes romantically interested in Revva’s disguised persona.

Production
The concept for Naughty Grandma originated with Aleksandr Revva, who also contributed to the screenplay alongside Saeed Davdiyev, Evgeniy Shelyakin, and Maryus Vaysberg. Approximately twenty stunt performers participated in the production. The makeup process for Revva’s grandmother disguise required roughly four hours of daily application.

Critical response in Russian media was generally negative, with reviewers citing shortcomings in humor and narrative cohesion. Despite the unfavorable reviews, the film’s box‑office performance indicated a level of popular appeal among domestic audiences.
