Nathan Stanton is an American animator and storyboard artist, widely recognized for his extensive contributions to numerous critically acclaimed animated films, primarily with Pixar Animation Studios. His work involves shaping the visual narrative, character performance, and comedic timing of a story.
Career
Stanton has had a distinguished career in animation, spending a significant portion of it at Pixar Animation Studios. As a story artist, he plays a crucial role in the development process of animated features, translating screenplays into visual sequences through storyboards, which serve as the blueprint for the film's animation.His extensive filmography at Pixar includes work on many of the studio's most iconic films. He served as a story artist on early successes such as A Bug's Life (1998), Toy Story 2 (1999), and Monsters, Inc. (2001). He continued his contributions on Finding Nemo (2003), The Incredibles (2004), and Cars (2006).
One of his more prominent roles at Pixar was as the Story Supervisor for the Academy Award-winning film WALL-E (2008), where he was responsible for leading and overseeing the storyboarding team.
