Natasha David is a German-born American bartender, mixologist, and author. She was born in Germany in 1985 and moved to New York City at age 18 to attend New York University. While a freshman, she began bartending and subsequently worked at several notable New York establishments including Woodsen & Ford, Danny Meyer's Maialino, Keith McNally's Pullino's, Maison Premiere, Mayahuel, and Donna.
In 2014, David opened the critically acclaimed cocktail bar Nitecap on New York's Lower East Side alongside Alex Day and David Kaplan. She has also competed on the television program Iron Chef America.
In 2022, David authored the cocktail recipe book Drink Lightly, which focuses on low-alcohol cocktails. Her cocktail recipes have been featured in numerous publications including the New York Times, Bon Appétit, Vogue, Food & Wine, GQ, PUNCH, and Imbibe, among others. Her recipes have also appeared in books such as The Essential Cocktail Book, Cocktail Codex, Session Cocktails, and The Japanese Art of the Cocktail.
David operates a consultancy company called You & Me Cocktails, which has been responsible for projects such as Paul Sevigny's Baby Grand and the revamp of Pravda's cocktail program.
