Naroli

Naroli is a census town located in the Surat district of the western Indian state of Gujarat. It forms part of the Surat metropolitan region and lies on the banks of the Tapti River, approximately 12 kilometres southeast of the city of Surat.

Geography
Naroli is situated at a latitude of 21.1215° N and a longitude of 72.9379° E. The town is positioned at an average elevation of 12 metres (39 feet) above sea level. The surrounding area is characterized by alluvial plains that support agriculture and are traversed by several minor waterways feeding into the Tapti River system.

Administration
The town falls under the jurisdiction of the Surat Municipal Corporation for urban governance and is administered locally by a gram‑panchayat. Politically, Naroli is part of the Surat Lok Sabha constituency and the Surat West Vidhan Sabha constituency.

Demographics
According to the Census of India 2011, Naroli had a population of 9,842 individuals. The gender distribution was approximately 52 % male and 48 % female. The literacy rate stood at 78 %, exceeding the national average at that time. Gujarati is the official language, while Hindi and English are also commonly understood.
