Narendra Mohan Sen (1887–1963) was an Indian freedom fighter and revolutionary associated with the Anushilan Samiti, a secretive nationalist organization that engaged in armed resistance against British colonial rule in Bengal during the early 20th century.
Biography
Sen joined the Anushilan Samiti, a revolutionary outfit, and rose to become a senior leader of its Dacca (Dhaka) branch. He played a significant role in unifying two major revolutionary groups—the Jugantar (led by Jadugopal Mukherjee) and the Anushilan Samiti—in the 1920s. This unification effort came after both organizations had suffered major setbacks due to the arrest of most of their senior leaders. Under his influence, the group shifted toward disciplined physical and ideological training.
Despite the merger, the combined efforts did not revive revolutionary activities to the expected level. Sen's work was part of the broader Indian independence movement that sought to end British colonial rule through both revolutionary and political means.
