Nam Tae-hee (born July 3, 1991) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger. He is recognized for his technical proficiency and long-standing career in both Asian and European football leagues.
Nam began his professional career in France with Valenciennes FC, making his Ligue 1 debut in 2009. At the time of his debut, he was the youngest South Korean player to appear in a European top-flight league. In 2012, he transferred to the Qatari club Lekhwiya SC (which later merged to become Al-Duhail SC). During his time in the Qatar Stars League, Nam became a prominent figure, winning multiple league titles and domestic cups. He was awarded the Qatar Football Association Player of the Year for the 2016–2017 season. Following a period with Al-Sadd SC, he returned to Al-Duhail before moving to the Japanese J1 League to join Yokohama F. Marinos in 2023.
Internationally, Nam has represented South Korea at various levels. He was a member of the national under-23 team that won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. As a member of the senior national team, he has participated in several major tournaments and qualification cycles, including the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, where South Korea finished as runners-up. Throughout his international career, he has been utilized primarily as a creative playmaker.
