Naious

A Naious is a minor water nymph in Greek mythology. These nymphs were associated with springs, fountains, rivers, and other bodies of fresh water. They were generally considered benevolent spirits, often associated with healing and prophecy. Naiads were believed to have power over the waters they inhabited and were often invoked in prayers for fertility, health, and safe passage on water. Their temperaments varied; while generally helpful, they could also be dangerous if disrespected or angered. Unlike some other nymphs, Naiads were often linked to specific locations, making them integral parts of the local landscape and folklore.
