Naft Al-Shamal SC

Naft Al-Shamal SC (Arabic: نادي نفط الشمال الرياضي), also known as North Oil Sport Club, is an Iraqi football club based in Kirkuk. The club fields men's, women's, and youth teams and competes in the Iraqi Second Division League.

History

The earliest predecessor, the Sharikat Naft Al‑Shamal (Northern Oil Company) team, was formed in 1948 and later renamed Al‑Amaliyat Al‑Naftiya Al‑Mahdouda. In 1977 the club was formally founded as Naft Al‑Shamal SC and subsequently operated under the name Wahid Huzairan before reverting to its current name in 2017.

In addition to its participation in the Iraqi Second Division, Naft Al‑Shamal also fields a team in the Kurdistan Premier League and maintains a women’s side that competes in the Iraqi Women’s Football League.
