Na Yoon-sun

Early Life and Career

Na Yoon-sun was born in Seoul, South Korea, into a musical family; her father, Na Young-soo, is a choirmaster and conductor, and her mother, Kim Mi-jung, is a musical actress. Despite this background, she initially studied French literature at Konkuk University before discovering a passion for jazz in her early twenties.

She began her professional singing career in South Korea in the early 1990s, performing in local jazz clubs and musicals. In 1995, she moved to Paris, France, to further her musical education, attending the Centre Musique Didier Lockwood (CMDL), the American School of Modern Music, and the National Superior Conservatory of Paris. It was in Paris that she truly honed her unique vocal style and began to gain international recognition.
