NGC 2355 is an open cluster located in the constellation Gemini. It was discovered by William Herschel on December 28, 1786. The cluster is estimated to be approximately 4,600 light-years away from Earth and is believed to be around one billion years old, making it a relatively old open cluster. It contains a moderate number of stars and appears somewhat dispersed. Its visual magnitude is around 9.7, meaning it's best observed with a telescope. Studies of NGC 2355 have contributed to our understanding of stellar evolution and the dynamics of open clusters. Its coordinates are approximately right ascension 07h 17m 49.0s and declination +13° 45′ 00″.
