The series features children from Canada presenting short video features about their home and family lives. The series was created and produced by Lopii Productions, a Canadian production company led by twin sisters Rennata and Georgina Lopez.
The series was also carried in the United States by PBS. A related series, "My Stay-at-Home Diary," premiered in 2020 and featured children creating short video features about how they were coping with pandemic lockdowns.
The series received several award nominations and recognitions. "My Stay-at-Home Diary" received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Children's or Youth Non-Fiction Program or Series at the 9th Canadian Screen Awards in 2021. It was written by Colm Cunningham, Natalie Duggan, and Agnes Houston. The book brings together the voices of people with dementia and their carers with research-based learning to provide practical tips, strategies, and real-life stories to support greater independence for people living with dementia.
The book contains more than 280 practical tips to support living at home and being active in the community with dementia. It was the winner of the Australasian Journal on Ageing Book Award for 2018. Co-author Agnes Houston MBE is a dementia activist who was diagnosed with younger-onset Alzheimer's disease in 2006 at age 57.
Brazilian Housing Program
