Mukkha Fall (also spelled Mukkha Falls or Mukha Fall, Hindi: मुक्खा फाल) is a waterfall located on the Belan River in the Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
Location
Mukkha Fall is situated on the Robertsganj to Ghorawal road, approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) west of Robertsganj and 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Ghorawal. It is located near the village of Munka, Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. Its geographical coordinates are 24°42′56″N 82°41′47″E.
Description
The waterfall is formed by the waters of the Belan River dropping from a height of approximately 100 feet (about 30 metres). It features two drops (plunges) and is classified as a plunge-type waterfall. The waterfall is most impressive during and just after the monsoon season (typically June to September), when the Belan River is at its fullest.
