Early Life and Education

Mukesh Bansal pursued his higher education at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), where he earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Following his graduation, he gained professional experience in several technology companies in the United States, working in areas such as product management and business development, before returning to India.

Career

Myntra

In 2007, Mukesh Bansal co-founded Myntra, initially envisioned as an online platform for personalized gift items. Over time, the company pivoted its business model to become a leading online retailer for fashion and lifestyle products in India. As CEO, Bansal was instrumental in driving Myntra's growth, market leadership, and brand recognition within the competitive Indian e-commerce landscape. In 2014, Myntra was acquired by Flipkart, India's largest e-commerce company, in a high-profile deal. Post-acquisition, Bansal continued to lead Myntra and also assumed the role of Head of Fashion at Flipkart. He resigned from Flipkart in February 2016 to pursue new ventures.

Cure.fit / cult.fit

After his departure from Flipkart, Bansal co-founded Cure.fit (which later rebranded as cult.fit) in 2016 alongside Ankit Nagori, a former Flipkart colleague. Cure.fit was established as an integrated health and fitness platform, offering a range of services that included fitness centers (Cult.fit), healthy food delivery (Eat.fit), mental well-being programs (Mind.fit), and primary healthcare services (Care.fit). Under Bansal's leadership, cult.fit rapidly expanded its footprint, establishing itself as one of India's prominent health technology startups. He continues to serve as the CEO of cult.fit.
